Welcome to Seeing Beyond 2009!

Matt Brown's quest to finish Ironman Canada and inspire the world to See Beyond life's limitations.

Matt Brown is a Vancouver BC based executive and amateur (very amateur) athlete.  On August 30, 2009, Matt will join 2000 other athletes from all walks of life on the starting line of the Ironman Canada Triathlon.  What makes Matt’s attempt different is that he is legally blind as a result of a rare visual condition called Achromatopsia.

Our goal is big –  to raise $1,000 for every mile of the Ironman race - that’s $140,000.   All proceeds will go to CNIB - an organization that has helped Matt and thousands of others See Beyond the challenges of living with low or no vision.  Our success will depend on the support and involvement of many people and organizations.  We hope that Matt's story will resonate with you in a powerful way - inspiring you to give and encouraging you to spread the word about the great work that CNIB does. Join Matt on his $1000 a mile journey to See Beyond - Donate Now!
